Arrow Converting 94 computer to 87-93 computer

Numerous people have told me 87-93 computers handle mods better than 94-95, and there is a chip that converts the 94-95 computer to the 87-93 copmuter. What I understand the chip installs near the firewall. I'm looking for options about this chip and where I can purchase one.

You don't need that chip. You need a competent tuner. One that tunes A9L computers might not know squat about your 94'. Best way is to start calling up all the tuners in your area and asking if they have knowledge in tuning your 94', get some testimonials, and go from there.

I had someone locally tune my car, and that's why I'm looking for alternatives.

If you're buying "new" ones off newer Mustangs they are computers made for the 4.6L.

SCT Pro Racer Package is a pretty good alternative to a swap, then just get it tuned.. It can be tough to find a tuner, but hell if you really want a good tune you should be willing to drive for it.

You can convert the computer and small harness but affter doing so you still need a Tuning device. You can save money and time by buying a Tweecer for your car and correct all the bad things with the 94-95 computer.

The local shop put a superchips custom tuning chip...They dyno tuned my car, but I keep hearing about this chip that converts the 94-95 computer to the 87-93 computer. And according to several people this conversion will take care of my problems.

Your preaching to the choir my brother...I am so sick of the 94/95 computer issue posts. The computer is actually better then the pre 94/95 just more sensitive to emissions. Tune it, you will be fine..when I say tune, I mean on a dyno. The only way to go.
