The baffle is inside the valve cover. You can't miss it when they are off.

I'm running a stock shortblock with an F303 cam,1.6 roller rockers on AFR 165 heads,Cobra intake,70 mm TB and 30# injectors-I really like it.Started dyno tuning, and a bad U-joint made us stop, but the last run was 280RWHP @ 5000 RPM.We didn't get the chip done yet,so I think there's more to get out of it.TQ was 300.The power curve was pretty flat all across, started a little over 200 HP

is it F303 or E303? soon I'm going to buy the trickflow street intake wich is the best for my budget, up to how much HP the stock heads can support ??? i would love to leave my car with a little over 350HP with no power adders,NOS, N/A and i know its going to be hard but it can be done. what could be the best way to make that kind of power with the mods that i have and what else do i need ???

""The power curve was pretty flat all across, started a little over 200 ""

Correcting myself--started out a little over 100HP @ 2000RPM--to answer the ? about cam choice with an auto tranny,I think the bigger cams create less vacume and affects the tranny's shifting, but I don't know for sure-somebody else could give you a better answer than I can on that

You'll find Ford not recomending auto trans with their cams except the E-303 because it will require a higher stall torque converter. I have a 5.0 with the B-303 but I had to install a 2400 RPM stall converter because of the higher idle speed needed with this cam. I'm also running the FRPP Cobra 1.7 roller rockers giving me a .510 lift over the .480 lift using the 1.6 ratio. Gives a little better breathing ability. My idle speed in neutral is around 1000RPM and it drops down to about 850 RPM in gear. This combo works well for me. Power comes on a little higher in the operating RPM range than the E-303. The street manners of the E-303 would be better for a daily driver in my opoinion.---Chuck

FRPP only makes one E-303 cam. My engine is a 1994 5.0 w/ C4 trans and a Holley 600 CFM Vacuum Secondary carb. This cam can be used either with fuel injection or carb. It is the only roller cam FRPP makes (actually made by Crane Cams for FRPP) that is 50 state legal, if that is of importance.

Installation is not for someone who doesn't have any experience turning wrenches. There are books available that tell you how to do it. I guess if you can follow instructions and have someone with experience available (not some drunk who braggs about his engine building abilities) you could do it yourself. Attention to details is very important with a project like this. I don't know how much it would cost to have a shop do the job for you. I'm sure there is someone on this forum that will post a cost. Good luck,-----Chuck

One more thing, I am running the B-303 cam, which is a little more radical than the E-303, with a carb so actually you can go either way, fuel inj. or carb with the E-303. I'm thinking about trying this cam out myself.

600-1000 depending on the shop.

It's a long job. If you can get good prices on labor it'll be fine, otherwise it's really expensive and not worth the benefits.

If you want to make it worth the money do the entire HCI at once.
