Ok im looking at this 1994 Mustang GT 5.0.... the car is in very good condition cosmetically and mostly mechanically...

i have 2 problems with this car though....

I turned on the AC it blew out cool air but when we came to a redlight about 5 seconds after stopping it idled down then died but started right back up? what could this possibly be

then white smoke came from under the hood.... and it reeked of clutch.... with a squealing noise..... i was not riding the clutch what could this be even though i never felt the clutch really slip?

i know it can't be a blown head gasket because the car never overheated....

has anyone ever had these problems?

the guy is asking 4500 for it where as book value is only 3,200

please advise.

Considering the issues I'd talk him down.

I got my 94 GT in great condition for 3400 with 122k miles. Only issues were non-obvious ones (running lean).

yeah im talking him down for sure.... but can you figure out what is wrong with it?

could you tell me or at least guess what could be wrong with it.
