Default 1995 Mustang GT Odometer/Trip Meter Inopertable

On my 95 Mustang GT Convertible, the speedo works fine but the odometer and trip don't work at all.

Where do I look for the fix?

Pretty sure there's an odometer gear behind the dash. Not 100% sure tho maybe someone can give a little more info on the location?

What ended up fixing your odometer problem?
I have a 1997 GT Conv, with the same problem.

Default speed sensor on tranny

You guys, be sure to check your speed sensor that hooks up to the tranny. If the wiring is frayed then your odometer or trip wont work. Happened to mine. I had to buy a new harness for about 25 bucks or so. I can't remember, but this was my problem. EZ fix BTW.

The electric motor inside the cluster that drives the odometer/trip odometer can also be bad.

The odometer and tripmeter are driven by plastic drive/worm gears at the back of the instrument panel. These gears commonly wear out with age or the teeth simply break off. The remedy is to replace those gears and you can find them at Odometer Gear Replacement
