Default 1994 mustang gt electrical seat switch malfunction

this is really been a nuisance for me. I have had this problem with my seat moving all the way back when i get out of the car and when i try to move the seat forward the seat doesnt move at all. i have to drive the car with the seat all the way back until the seat feels like cooperating and moving forward for me. this especially sucks cuz i am short! the seat moves when it feels like it, any help would be grateful.

Default 94 GT Seat Safety Recall

I had the same problem when I bought my 94 GT a couple of Years ago. I just kept driving it until one day the seat finaly ended up catching fire. Luckily I was in the Parking lot. Once the seat Foam caught I almost couldnt put it out even after disconnecting the battery. Turns out that there is a safety recall for the seat wiring in the 94 GT's. The harness is routed wrong and there is a bar in the seat that can pinch and short out on the seat frame. Especialy if the driver is over 150 Pounds because your weight is what is pressing the bar across the wiring harness. I ended up having to replace the Carpet and both front seats due to the fire. Get it to the dealer. I can almost guarantee you that that is the problem. Do it now before it is to late and catches fire. Lookup recalls on the 94 Mustang GT and you will find
it. Take it to the dealer for free.
