Default 1994 mustang gt camshaft swap

Hi gang, I have a 1994 gt pretty stock. It has 3.73 gears, ford racing shorty headers, the motor is stock. My question is this I am replacing the stock intake and throttle body with a performance products upper and lower intake and a 70 mm throttle body. While im at it I am thinking of replacing the cam with a ford racing B303. Will this cam cause any problems in the computer. And how much performance improvement can I expect. Thanks guys

thats what cam i run and love it, i cant idle around because it starts bucking and jurking at low rpms, under 1,200 rpms, you need a manual trans or a high stall converter, that mas air computer handles it fine, big G

The 94/95 ECU is MUCH more sensitive than 93 and before. I'm not sure but odds are to get the most out of it you'd need it tuned. It'll run, but it might not run as well as it would with a decent tune.

The B cam is a nice cam and should cause no problems with the computer. I will say their are a lot better and newer cams on the market today. I like andersonfordracings cams. They have them specifically for what cam you have. If you are doing all this work, I do hope you are changing the heads?? That's where all this power will be seen. FYI I still run the stock cam on my 95GT, and with the blower I see just under 500 rwhp..stock cams can still make power.

I agree about the heads finishing off the project. Unfortunately I am a little short on car funds right now. I would like to get about 300 rwhp. Any suggestions as to where to find atuner for the ecu. Thanks

Question

It's me again, do you guys think I would be better off waiting on the cam swap until I can afford heads? If I spend $200 and some time and don't notice a difference I'll probably kick myself in the rear.

You will be kicking yourself. Why take the car apart once, then do it again when you get heads??

You will. Wait until you've saved some money and do the heads/cam/intake manifold in one go.
