Default worn rack bushings

I noticed recently that my steering rack had some play in it. I had a buddy of mine help me check out what it was. It turns out that when i turn the steering wheel, the steering rack also moves. Looks like the bushings are worn out. My question is, would worn bushings make my car feel like it has bumpsteer and or soft steering or any vibration in steering wheel?

Yeah, a bump will push the wheels, and the steering will be soft. Not sure about vibration in the steering wheel, but if there's enough slop in the bushings, it could.

If you do a hard take off, does the rear end squirm a little? The rear bushings might be shot, also.

I had to re-bush an '88 5.0. Not cheap, but my oh my, it drove sooooo much better.

i'm thinking of going with MM rack bushings. The rear does feel kind of soft when i take off hard.
