Default 1994 Mustang GT Camshaft Upgrade?

I have a 1994 GT with MAC Cold Air intake, BBK Equal Length Headers, T-5, etc...And I was planning on upgrading the stock Camshaft. What is the biggest/best camshaft that I can do without changing the pistons or anything?

Don't upgrade the camshaft unless you're also planning to upgrade the heads and intake manifold at the same time. Even then the stock camshaft does surprisingly well. If you add Cobra 1.7 roller rockers, the valve lift is increased from 0.455" to 0.473" and they'll also add 3 degrees to the 0.050" lift duration, effectively making the stock cam behave like a bigger one.

he asked what is a good cam without modifications, so the e303 is a good choice, you will have plenty of piston to valve clearance, with 1.7 rockers you will get .529 lift

Steeda also has a cam specific for the 94-95 and it's finicky computer. It can go right in with no mods and makes good power.

Whats the name of the Steeda cam?

And with the 1.7 rockers, do I need to change the valve covers?

The Ford Racing E303 and the Steeda 19 cam should work fine with the stock computer. The E303 has 0.498" of valve lift and the Steeda has 0.480" of lift with 1.6 ratio rockers, so both will provide more than adequate piston-to-valve clearance. Even the TFS Stage 1 (0.499"/0.510") should work fine.

just remember around .540-.544 lift is the safe limit, both the e303 and the steeda#19 are very good cams and you wont have any problems with them
