i think that if you have an auto then you should get a shift kit done first... then do gears... then change the shift points, best gears for the AODE are 4.10... with the right converter and the above installs the AODE can be as fast as a 5-spd
You can get a tune up kit from Down's Ford for $79, its a really good deal. Includes FMS 9mm wires, cap, rotor, motorcraft plugs and PCV. that was the first thing I did to my car after I bought it, made the car run alot smoother.
Places around Wisconsin usually charge ~$400 for gears, instalation and speedo gear.
Spyder and I are at odds on the 70mmTB. All I can say is that I have one and love it. When I made that mod, it was the only one at that time and I could definitely feel a substantial difference in power.
i go by dyno sheets, not what people say they feel. you cant feel any power gains less than 5-10 rwhp, and thats if your experienced. too many times what people think they feel is just them stepping on it and noticing what they got more than they use to.

So I take it that you dyno'd your car and have personally tried stock, 65 and 70mm TB's? Cool deal.....well share your personal experience with us.....give us the numbers. I'm sure that your personal experience will go much further than some "arm-chair, magazine-read" opinion.
And don't fear the force Luke....I mean Spyder.....use your feelings.....you CAN feel a difference if you are not affraid to try!!!

One other thing, my air fuel is a little leaner (an adjustable regulator is next on the future mods lists) after my mods than it should be.....so with the mods I know that the stock intake and heads are flowing more with the addition of the CIA, 70mm TB and freer flowing exhaust. This is contrary to what some have been harping about on here.
I do think that an upgrade in heads, intake and cam will help improve the HP/torque significantly, and anyone trying to make an argument otherwise would be foolish; but, I do not buy into the way some people have suggested that the stock heads and intake are nearly max'd out.

ricer burner a tune is real easy. trust me. for the tune get,
1)autolite or motorcraft plugs.
2)new spark plug wire, FMS 9mm is good for price
3)new cap and rotor (real easy to change)
4)new oil and filter (easy as you probably know)
5)new air filter (k&n)
6)clean your MAF
I suggest a 3.73 gear as there is only a few hundred rpm difference when interstate cruising. Factory air box is very restrictive as you need to eliminate this and get a K&N filter in front of the air meter. I've tested street pulley kits and found just changing the crank pulley is a better alternative. I'm sure your out of money at this point. I highly suggest in the future changing your computer with a 89-93 5 speed EEC 4. Your performance will greatly increase and allow just about any future mod without the use of a chip. I had a 94 and ran into all kind of problems with heavy mods as these SN95 computers calculate load different. You basically have to install a BAP sensor, 60 pin connector, correct 02 sensor ground and reroute wires using diagrams. It's worth it and simple!
I don't know of any web sights that show this. I had a 94 that still used the EEC 4 computer with a factory 60 pin connector. I have an EPEC manual that shows both computer diagrams. Some of the fuel injector wires are in different location among a few others. The 95 cars should use the EEC 5 120 pin connector but same method applies only needing 60 pin connector. I installed my bap sensor under the passeger seat. PRO-M sells a conversion harness but was exspensive. I gained 3 tenths and 3 mph doing this swap that cured my rough idle that acted like a vacuum leak with bad smell of gas.
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and go against the usuall first mods like gears, pulleys etc.. Sure, they are good for that seat off the pants feeling.
But what about that pants off the seat feeling? Thats where I'd suggest my new line of cloth rear seat covers for those non-leather lovers. Only 19.99!!! Buy now and get a lifetime supply of "NO KIDZ" at no extra cost!!!!

Hey ricer, you still haven't posted what trans you have - i'm assuming a stick since you got 3.55's. when i first got mine i put a cold air kit and pullies on the car, it already had flows on it so i didn't have to pay for those. i think you've made a great choice with the gears. if you want a cold air kit or some equal length shorty headers i have some that i can't use. cheap. pm me if you want them.
