hey rb i'm in the same boat. i just bought a 94 gt with a 5spd. a friend of mine is friends with k&n research and develop techs and they gave me a free fipk kit. it's part#57-2511 and it's cool looking but i'm worried about it taking in hot air because i doe's not come with any covering. i guess i'll have to make my own. i'll have to agree with the gears being the first to do. mine will be on order asap. i also removed the mesh screen in the airbox directly in front of the mass air and i felt a difference.

I'm confused. Can you install gears yourself? Or do you have to get them done at a shop?

you should get them done at a shop.
They can be tricky if you don't know what you are doing.

GT-40 Package-This complete package makes 290 hp and includes the following:

A stall converter simply allows you to have your car in gear, and doesn't "engage" that gear until the RPMs of the engine are up to the rating of the converter (i.e. 3500 RPM stall converter=engagement at 3500 engine RPMs). This is used primarily for racing and unless rating is very low (e.g. 1500 RPMs) not really that good for street use.

As far as finding one, well www.jegs.com of course!

Question beginners mods

I just got my 95gt and just performed the following mods:
bbk cai,under drive pullies,ford 9mm wires,autolite platinum plugs,
ford racing 3.73 gears, and msd coil.It is a five speed and still it feels lacking in power/mod ratio? Can anyone explaine this on to me.

I had a 89 gt and the power was great with this setup but the 95
has yet to impress me.What am I doing wrong???

I have heard not to use Platnium plugs in the 94-95.Personally I am about to put in some NGK plugs, along with FMS 9MM.

I need to clean my sensors big time!!!

hopefully I can afford gears soon. getting a heck of a deal, Just have to drive 90 miles to get it!
But I know it will be worth it!!!! Hopefully March!!
