I have a 95 GT convert with 295/45/17 's and I cant even break the tires loose. But 2nd get really goes fast. I have an automatic/cat back flowmaster exh/stock cam/mac cold air. What gears do I possible have? Would 3.73's help?

hello everyone, i have a 95 gt with all the bolt ons,(KN, 65mm throttle body, mac shortthrow,3;55, 14tdc, 160f t-stat, longtube headers, pypes 2.5 catback, 18x10 saleen out back, 18x9 in front, underdrive pulleys, cold air induction). i guess my question is how far beyond this setup could i go with out having ecu problems? everything i"ve read about the 95 ecu worries me. I have a port matched and polished cobra intake, also a set of gt40 heads also ported and polished, and was planning on an E cam with 1.6 roller rockers.has anyone ran this combo or something close to it using the stock 95 ecu, and were there any problems? i know this is a mild set up, but with everything i have read i thought i would throw it out there. thanks for any replies

3.73's would help big time, I installed a set of Ford racing 3.73's in my 95 mustang gt covertible a couple of weeks ago and they made a huge difference stepping up from the factory 2.73's. I installed them myself in a weekend and it wasn't really that complicated and as hard as you would think if you have good mechanical ability and access to some specialty tools.

My current mods are 3.73's, 180* thermostat, bumped timing to 14*, K&N airfilter with the air silencer removed, welded in turbo mufflers on the stock catback, MSD blaster coil, Ford racing 9mm wires, a full tune up and fluid change.

This car runs pretty strong now and is suprisingly fast with these mods that I have done.

Default underdrive pulley dilema

I have heard many bad things regarding underdrive pulleys. Over heating and poor idle charge. I've decided to fit a meziere electric water pump which pumps 55gall per minute and in theory should give me more power as it does not run on the belt. Also I'm upgrading my alternator to a 200AMP job and will adjust idle to 900. Should this help and am I on the right track here??
