1)Cold Air Kit (150 - 200)
or if you want just get a k&n air filter. i have one i used for a month before i converted to a cold air kit. sell it to you 15 bucks including shipping. I bought it for 40.

2)Cat Back exhaust (220 - 800 depending how much you want to spend. flowmaster is 220 and performs well and sounds good but interior noise is up a notch)

3)gears (180 + installation) for daily driver - manual 3.55, auto 3.73

4)sub-frame connectors (80) , wont produce more power but will stiften chasis for just about everything in the future.

thats a good start.

how much would it cost to have sub frame connectors put on. Or is it a hard job to do yourself?

No, no, no.

First of all, you want a "seat of your pants" feel, which we all want when we mod our stang.

Get the GEARS!

Sure, this is a $300 dollar mod, which is kinda steep for a first mod, but I guaruntee you will FEEL the difference! By now, I'm sure you've been noticing how the bone stock 95 GT is kind of a hog. I know, that's how mine was.

Gears bring the power to you SO much faster, and you won't want to get out of the drivers seat once you feel the difference.

Cold Air Kit = 10 hp. You won't feel that.

Exhaust = Spend 200 dollars and you won't notice a thing. Spend 800 dollars, and, well, that's a LOT of money.

Subframe Connectors = Take it from me, I didn't notice much of a difference in my 95. For the fox, its a great mod. The SN-95 doesn't need it that badly, and certainly not as a first mod.

Go with Spyder's reccomendation: 3.55 manual 3.73 auto.

Take it from me, I have almost every basic bolt on in the book:

3.55 Gears
MAC headers through no cats and Flowmasters
pro-m 77MM MAF
UD Pulleys
MSD 6A with Coil
14 degree timing
Pro 5.0
M/T ET Streets
SVO Subframe Connectors
SVO Aluminum Driveshaft

Gears make the difference!

Go with gears, they are the biggest bang for the buck...

Gears (3.73 at least), pullies, bump the timing, and k&n or cold air kit. I did all the basic bolt-ons years ago and the combination above gave me the best sotp results.

Explain

Pullies have demonstrated they free up some horsepower and put it to the wheels. If you want to magazine race, check out just about every article about pulley additions and see the gains. As a matter of fact, the latest 5.0 does a bolt-on/dyno article with all the mods, including pullies. It's an inexpensive mod that's proven to work.

Definitely the first mod to get is gears, 3.73 for manual, 4.10 for auto. I wouldn't waste my time with a CAI unless you want your engine bay to look pretty, K&N air filter will help alot, especially if your current filter is dirty. CAI usually make horsepower because you're using a different filter. Most people say that a CAI kit doesn't make anymore or less power then the snorkel box with a K&N.

Crank pulley will free up some HP. doing crank and alt pulley have lead to some cooling and charging problems. yes they do add hp im not argueing that.

Spyder...The only problems I have with my U/D pulleys, is charging at idle. It states to bump the idle up to 800 for a manual and I believe its 900 for an auto to help with charging problems at idle. I have not seen any cooling problems. I would follow these guys advise on the gears. I have not yet done mine, but I went CAI and U/D pulleys for my first mod and didn't help that much. Another thing to get is an Alum. D/S, people say it doesn't help, but I noticed a difference on my 95. I would guess if I would have a test and tune it may have dropped 2 to 3 tenths, and added 3-5 mph. Thats just what I have noticed.
