Pretty sure it is the textured. I think they've gone away from the other in favor of just this type due to fact you can sand and paint it just as easy as the smooth ones. You can always call them to be sure.
I ordered my cdc chin spoiler from them and yes it comes in the flat black color look at my pics in my profile to see it I id not paint mine I left it flat black for the old school look.
Thanks for all the info, I will be getting one soon along with the honeycomb back panel, I am also going for the "old school look"
let the mods begin....
P.S. I thought I saw somewhere that we can get a discount at American Muscle? how do I go about that?
Hey Nick,
I was gonna pick up one of these chin spoilers, and of course, AM is my number one choice. I was wondering, if I get one of these textured black chin spoilers, is it gonna match the paint on my black 2006 or will I need to paint it. Others that have added the spoiler, please chime in as well.

Hey everybody, I am a new member and one of the first things I want to do to my car is install the CDC Classic Chin Spoiler. I just got it in the mail yesterday and want to check if any of you guys know how to paint and clear coat it. Is there a special paint and clear coat I need to get?
I know you need to lightly scuf it before you paint, but just checking if anybody did this already and has any tips.
My cars black and I would like to paint it the same black to match the body.

You also need flex additive to paint urethane or the paint will eventually crack.
Hey guys since were on the topic off chin spoilers. Can someone tell me witch one they think I have. I can't get a straight answer out of Regency Conversions who put it on the car for the dealership. Kinda wish it was a flat unpainted blk. I like the ole school look myself and as you can see if you look closely. Its easy to get to close to a curb and scratch the paint.
