its true folks, two thursdays ago i ordered the JLT/SCT tuner combo. it said two days to tune, and two days to deliver. well tuesday rolls around and i never got a tracking number, so i gave them a call asking for a tracking number, they said the packages would be sent out later that tuesday, well i never got a tracking number email, so i called the next day, turns out, they never sent it on that tuesday, so they send it out on wednesday, a full 6 days (4 business days) i did not receive my stuff untill friday, 8 days after i originally ordered, which isnt that big of a deal but....
so i install the cai, then upload the american muscle tune into my car and start er up, the car idles terribly, jumping from 400 rpms to 800 rpms back and forth, when i tried to rev it, my car stalled out, and there was this terrible smell. so i called AM on friday, and they said the tuner guy was on the phone (it was about noon at this time) so i gave them my name and number to call me back. 20 mins went by, then 40 mins, then 1,2,3 and 4 hours went by, never got a call. so i ordered a custom tune from bamachips, but when i plug my SCT into my computer my computer doesnt recognize it or something, im starting to think they sent me a bum tuner, and they sure arent doing anything to help me. i even called saturday to get some help loading the bama tune into my sct, but they said they couldnt help me, i still have no custom tune in my car...

Wonderful. I too have lost some faith in them. Sure, they have tons of great stuff. I have ordered 90% of my mods from them. However, I've noticed recently I can get just as good stuff from other companies for the same price or sometimes better.

i requested to have a tune e-mailed to me as part of there free tunes for life deal and they said 5-7 days for them to e mail me the new tune its been two weeks with out any thing from AM so i called they said the tuner guy was on the phone and the other was at lunch
i left my name and number and i called back every hour until they closed and still nothing they said to call back monday
it will be 15 working days since i orderded this monday
Better than RPMOutlet, I ordered an intake manifold from them, took me two months to recieve it. I had to make numerous calls wait on hold for hours and make calls to the DA's office in Harris County (where they do business) for consumer protection.

Did you tell American muscle about your pre-existing mods, primarily your TB spacer? cause that will effect the performance of your car if they tune it for one thing and it turns out to be something else.
And i myself just placed my tire and rim order from AM. They handled me very professionally considering that UPS LOST MY FREEKING TIRE/RIM!!!!! I still had to wait over 10 business days to finally receive my full set. But AM was very nice to me, when i called they answered my questions, responded to my e-mails. but i don't think i ever received tracking info, the 3 rims/tires showed up and i was like "WTF?? where's #4???"
They told me the process of everything that would happen, UPS again stinks to holy heck (i used to work for a company that shipped with them and they break everythinggggg), and AM re-sent me the one i was missing and ate the cost for the lost rim/wheel.
All in all i feel they did a fantastic job on trying to satisfy me with the purchase i made. Still sucks i had to wait though, stupid UPS

You should have never ordered a tuner package from them there tunes are horrible if you did your homework you would have saw to go with breenspeed tillman speed or bama chips all three have great customer service and tunes I myself will do buisnees with tillman speed when I get a cai package.

i agree bamachips is awesome, i havent used their tune yet but i ordered it friday afternoon at about 1-130, i had it in my inbox at 345. it was rather amazing, im hoping to get doug on the phone tomorrow and get this thing settled once and for all so i can go outside and lay down some rubber, but im not going to forget AM, im still gonna have to call them and give them a peice of my mind

if YOU would read i did order a tune from bamachips, i just cant gget it loaded into my tuner, and i bought from AM because i had 300 dollars in gift cards from them, and i will get another 200 dollars in gift cards for writing an install guide on the JLT CAI

MAF connector is plugged in all the way? And the MAF is facing the right direction?
No leaks on the intake tube anywhere after the MAF, right? Including the PCV tube connection?
Need to double check if anything is throwing off air flow measurements.
If not that, then maybe something in the tune.
TPS can also make your idle float around like that. But I don't think you needed to do anything with the connector for the TPS, though.
