I just bought a 2000 Ford Mustang gt for $1600. It needs a lil bit of body work. It runs great but i want to make it faster.
I have a budget of $1000.00 and i have read several threads about AM and after looking at their pricing and free shipping i want to go with them.
So help me what should i buy or do to the GT to make it faster?
I have a $1000 limit

gears, nitrous, good set of tires handheld programmer... best bang for the buck...

gears will not give you more HP but will help you get into the torque curve (power band) faster and therefore feel faster and help you 1/4 times. You sacrifice top end for low end torque.

with $1,000 i would buy a CAI, tuner, and the gears. gears and install should set you back around $250-300 for install alone btw.

4.10's will be super fun but i hope thats not ur dd, and smoken deal man congrats. but ya cai, cat back and gears if it is ur daily id think about 373's but thats my opinion

I just ck the exaust system and it has a newer cat back magnaflow system. Also, is linked to both mufflers pipes in the back. My mechanic told me that this was for even flow between pipes....
Should i keep this set up or upgrade to something else....

I think i would go with the 4.10 gears and K&N CAI. But what else should i get....?? Tuner...Throtle Body....???

with the set up ur talkin about ur grand is gone probbally over but ya get accufab trottle and plenum get 75mm trotle. and yes for sure get pulleys cheap and i saw a gain in power and gas. i got bbk about 100 but summit is cheaper like 20$ cheaper. and if its a auto id say get a trans cooler just for pertection and the x or h pipe x pipe had a higher more formula sound and bedder hp but h pipe is deeper but u loose like 2 or 3 hp over the h pipe (but if u have emmisions high flow cats and 2.5 inch pipe will add like 15 whp off road will add like 20 )and headers man suck to get in thier but so sweet once u hear stock and after market longtubes.. thein start saven for cams and a good head port and polish good luck and im super jelious u got a great deal

Hey AMNick. I am brand new too this and would like to know some information about discounts etc. Ive been buying from american muscle for awhile now and am wanting to know the same thing.
