Off Road X Pipe Question

So if I get the Pypes Off-Road X-Pipe (XFM23) I'll need a tuner as well yes?

I plan on getting the Steeda CAI and SF3 Tuner 1st, maybe at the same time. What info do I need to pass on to AM when ordering the tuner?

Thanks

You dont need a tuner for an new cross pipe. After you buy a tuner you will type out information of what you have. Its all very easy to do.

you dont need a tuner for the offroad x pipe, but when you have your tuner you can cancel out the service light from the 02 sensors, and btw you dont need mil eliminators when you goto an offroad x pipe, there a waste of money. hope this helps out

Local shop I like to use won't install the x pipes without cats, I've been waffling back and forth on that myself so this settles it for me.

I'm looking now at the Pypes version (Pypes Catted X-Pipe (05-10 GT) at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping!) and Magnaflow version (Magnaflow Mustang Tru-X Catted X-Pipe (05-09 GT) at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping!) the Magnaflows are a little more expensive but I've heard good things about them.

My question now is will the Magnaflows fit a 2010?

Just put it on yourself, it just bolts up, then put mil eliminators on it, unless like he said if you hsve the chip i wouldnt worry about it..I just bought a 4 bank eliminator chip for my 95 gt off of American Muscle(AM) and i just sent them a list of the parts i had and they tuned the chip for it, then it comes with lifetime free tunes so if you ever add a performance part you send them the chip and they reprogram it and send it back..My chip made a worlddddd of difference!

That X-pipe is an easy install. You don't need a tuner but without one you are not gaining much by removing the cats, the computer needs to allow for better exhaust flow or gains are minimal and sometimes zero.

2000 Mustang GT: Mac Prochamber off-road mid pipe; SSS Adrenaline exhaust; Airaid CAI; SCT Tuner; Moser axles, EGR removed, Ford Racing 3.73 gears and Trac-Loc differential, aluminum drive line
