Default Another radio question

Santa brought me a pioneer stereo /CD player for my 68, I have the replacement bezel but there’s no chassis to hold the stereo in place, I talked to the pony shop in town and was advised there’s no available chassis and to use plumbers tape?
The plumbers tape ticked me off a bit, is there no one that makes a chassis for the 68? If not, has any one made one for their stang? Looking for dimensions so I can attempt to fab one up.

Thanks

68 Coupe, 289 3speed manual. 2nd year into project, is a slow process but hope to be well worth it.

so you have the faceplate to hold it in place, right?on the back of stereo is a stud/bolt in center, get a metal strap to hold it or maybe a L bracket.

I agree with Heavy metal. ise one of those metal strips(or two) to fabricate a bracket. factory ones arn't much more than bent sheet metal anyway.
