I'm having trouble with my sub. I bought the car awhile ago and I'm just now deciding to try to figure this out. It lasts awhile but if I turn the volume up it is a matter of seconds before every speaker except the two in the back deck go off, I've got the mach460 by the way.

At first I though the amp was getting hot and cutting off, but that doesn't seem to be the problem.

Any ideas?

check your grounds and or stop turning it up so much

Also, check underneath your ground to see if it's painted.

Will the paint affect it? Obviosly I guess. And shelbystangman, I can check the grounds, but not turn it up? That's out of the question...

was the ground the problem and i know how you feel bout not turnin it up im the same way now time to get the rattles to stop

I haven't checked the ground, but I talked to a buddy today and all of the speakers are going off except the ones in the back deck, so he seems to think it has something to do with the head-unit.

sounds like the resistance has changed to the subs(too much voltage) i don't have a Mach system but that is possibly the cause.
