Default New Amp is in the car along with new Box

If anyone has been reading all my never ending questions on the plywood boxes, sub, and amp stuff i have an update.

i got the bigger amp in it's a rockford fosgate power 550S (2 channel(275watt a channel @ 2 ohms)) and i finished one of the 11"x11" boxes i ported them with 1 1/4" conduit ends. they look just like a port, they had a small lip on the inside of them that worried me but they sound great no puffing, whistling or other funny sounds. I put the port right in the center of the box on the rear, i gorilla glued it on and put caulking on the inside to keep reinforce it. i had to use a rasp to smooth down the square hole to put the sub in it was a bit rough becouse we used the roto-zip to cut out the tracing from the stencil we had ( that took an hour and a half)(oh BTW these were the 3/4" Plywood boxes they sound really good.) then i sealed up the butched box that i had the 15" in it, and ported it with 3 flimsy glued together 2" gas line bells( glued inside of each other like stacked cups). it puffs a little bit and it really moves some air out of there. i have a real 4" port that i will probably use when i get the correct size hole saw. but over all it reall pounds. if you are looking for some real bass deffinatly go with a 15" or 18" becouse the 1000 Watt(M) 10" legacy bass blows compaired to the 400 Watt(M) PowerBase 15" that i have. and the PB is pretty cheap if you can find one. i've seen it online for $38.99 compaired to the new raised price of the legacy 1000w 10" at its new raised price of $49.99 (was $24.95).

if you can finangle them in the tiny mustang trunk, go bigger.

i'll have some pics up eventually.

overall cost of the stuff i had and have in the car:

2x15" PowerBase subs in box:......................................$60.00
1xsony 600W amp:.............................................. ......$105.00
Install and wire:............................................. ...........$20.00
Legacy's+UPS F-UP:............................................... ...$100.00
best Buy Insignia Head unitAnd 2 free 6.5 110W speakers.$55.00
.................................................. ........................+________
.................................................. ...........................$340.00

and plenty of options to do other things, next idea add back in the sony 600W.... stay tuned for more.
