1988 Ford Ranger Audio questions. So my girlfriends mom got a 1988 ford ranger about 2 months ago. Tonight after her game i got a ride home in it. i noticed it had no stereo, it had the same wiring harness as my 1994 factory cassette deck did from my Mustang. So when i got home i found my old headunit from the mustang and plugged it in. but there was no sound....(and yes it lit up and all the controls worked) we assumed that the speakers were stripped, i could not confirm it becouse it was dark and i did not have a screw driver to remove the grills in the dash to see, asuming this was so i also assumed that the factory amp was removed as well.
And then it poped into my head. Does a 1988 Ford Ranger STX have a factory stereo amplifier? thats my question if anyone knows please respond.
and if you happed to know... could i modify the space in the dash (4" factory speaker supposidly) to accomidate a 6.5"?
or the space rear speakers (they are supposed to accomidate a 5"x7") vto accomidate a 6.5"?
