Default Rear Speakers on 1994 Mustang GT How to get rear deck out?

Hey: 1994 GT - I am just waiting for UPS for my X-pipe, so I thought I would look at repacing my right rear speaker which is not working. I tried prying the two corners on the rear deck but I am afraid I will break the plastic berfore it pops loose. I am sure plenty of you have replaced your speakers. Is there a trick to getting the rear deck out?

I am great at breaking things when it comes to poping out interior parts. HELP

i'e had my car since the beginning of winter (october) and i was told to snap the two push pins off and you could get a bend in the middle of your rear deck but as i bent it i felt that i better stop becouse it was going to break soon, im waiting for a hot day this summer to try it. i just mounted two underneith with self tapping screws for now and left the factory ones in.

I got this message from 302feen in the 94-95 tech section:
It worked great. Yes it takes a few minutes to pull the quarter window side panels but it is better than bending or breaking the rear deck.

If you haven't already done your speakers, I know how. Just did it this weekend.
1. Fold back seats down and undo the bolts holding the rear pad on.
2.take the covers off the seat belt mount (right above the retract) and undo that with a big torx bit. And also unscrew the coat hangers.
3.gently pull the quarter window trim off, just pull and it'll pop right off. Don't worry you won't break it.
4.now the rear package tray (rear deck), just play with it a little and pull that sucker out.

From there it's simple just replace speakers, and reverse the process for install.

The size of the Torx bit for removing that seat belt bolt is T-50.

thanks for the broken down way on doing that, i know that was the right way, but i didn't know how to go about removing the peices.

shouldn't you use locktite when re-ataching the seatbelt bolt?
