Cool

some things to think about.

As a 5 year subscriber of sirius I have gone through 2 units from them.

The first one was a kenwood without a built in FM modulator.
The second was Sportster 4 Dock & Play Radio + Complete Vehicle Kit

Sportster 4 Dock & Play Radio + Complete Vehicle Kit - Shop Sirius

The Kenwood I had, I had to purchase a FM modulator.
The sportster 4 dock has a built in modulator.

The problems I have had.
Since I live in the southern part of Texas you have a choice of country/tejano or christian music.
Hence why I would pay for sirius.
BUT... there are so many stations it is hard to find a clear enough station in the lower bands of the radio that the sirius unit connects to.
So I get static on most bands I choose to select.
Last weekend I opend up my 2005 mustang with the shaker 500 system and could not find the input that the sirus output unit had. The Sportster comes with an output wire to reach nearer to your antenna and still I get static because of these holy FM stations.

So, I may end up having to buy a higher power FM modulator.

to answer your question.
No I did not see any on the back of my shaker 500 that are like the output from sirius units.

My research at Crutchfield says the head unit is actually a Clarion that Ford bought thru Delphi. I got the Sirius tuner cable and interface box thru Crutchfield[the Clarion interface box has the correct cable plugs to hook up clean without any splicing]. The There is enough cable to put the tuner and interface in the trunk or under the radio. If you go to Crutchfield.com you can down load all of the sirius and Clarion installation manuals free and look them ovcer before buying.

You might be able to find a Shaker 500 pulled from an 07 or new mustang with the Sirius tuner in it.

I installed the factory Sirius brain. Install took about an hour.
If you can find a brain on e-bay you can save some scratch. If not check out:

CD Changers, In-Dash CD Changers, Car Navigation Systems, Rear Seat Entertainment Systems and More Automotive Electronics from Radios and More

They sell the Ford Factory unit.

I asked Ford how much it would cost to buy and install the 07+ factory radio with Sirius in mine. 2,000. I almost fell over dead. Lol.

You actually have several options that will run you less than $100.00. You can wire it directly by using a PIE FRD04-AUX adaptor. This is specifically made for the ford radio, but you must have an "AUX" button. Crutchfield has them or you can check TSS Radio. Another option is the FM modulator that is wired inline with your antenna cable. And lastly, use the built-in FM transmitter. Nothing beats direct wiring, clear and static free!
