I just purchased a 03 convertible for my boyfriend. I have two keys, but no key fob's. How do I determine if I can use keyless entry? And if I can, where/how do I purchase/program the fob's?

the ford place. you'll have $125-$150 in both keyfobs unless they've come down in price and / or if the parts counter holds you to full retail. programming probably calls for 2-3 tenth's of an hour so depending on their hourly rate...
you used to could program them yourself by having both doors unlocked, turning the key on & off 7 or 8 times and leaving the key in the on position on the last cycle. the door locks should go down & up when you hit the magic number. then push one of the lock buttons on one of the remotes. the door locks should cycle again, down & up. do the same for the other remote. locks should cycle again. then turn the key to the off position. they keyfobs should be programmed at this point. seems like in some owners manuals the procedure is described also. i'm just not sure if it's outlined in the '03 manual or even if it's applicable for an '03. it may have to be hooked up to the ford star tester for programming. ford doesn't really want you to do that yourself. they'd much rather you go to the dealership since they charge the crap out of you for a very simple & QUICK procedure. good luck, nice lady...

Something FREE that will be of good information for you to learn some of these things is to go to this Ford website, https://myford.fordvehicles.com/serv...e&ord=29819523 and register your VIN. Then you can download in PDF form the Owner's Guide (different from the owner's manual) for your Mustang and probably find a lot of answers to questions you'll be having.

As for key fobs, try eBay. I recently picked up a new one for my son-in-law's 2000 Stang for $3.99 - $10 after shipping. Of course, that was the rare occasion. Over the years, I've mostly paid between $20 and $40 for new or used ones for different cars on eBay.
