Question Use Mach 460 amplifiers with adapter or wire directly to original Mach speakers?

ok so here is my question, I have a mach 460 system setup on my 2000 mustang vert

I sent it to circuit city like an asshole to get an after market HU installed and they decided to mess it all up....first they said that the ford harness was messed up and that they needed to re-wire everything....

then they told me that they wired directly from the headunit to my speakers...so whatever (I didn't do much research at this point)...

after doing a whole lot of using the search button on this amazing site....I am still left with a question

IS it best to utilize the mach 460 stock amplifiers with an adapter OR wire directly to the ORIGINAL mach speakers??

as far as I know the mach speakers are 6 ohm unlike the standard 4 ohm

I'm starting to think that I will probably get the best sound out of using the factory (3) amps

what should I do...they have agreed to fix it....but I'm wondering wether to just tell them to scratch their idea to wire directly to the speakers and make it work this time...or tell them to use an adapter and use the factory amps

the unit I bought has 2 pre-amp outs ...it is the JVC KD-HDR30

i installed mine myself and bought both adapters to use for hook up,with the factory amps....it sounded crappy without the amps hooked up....

Metra 70-5519 2000-2001 Ford factory amp integration harness is what you need. I'm not sure if Circuit City sells that brand but they should be able to provide a similar product. Metra & Scosche are two brands I know of that make the integration harness. I think the 70-5519 includes both the power harness and the amp integration harness. I know they sell it seperate but I can't find the part#. Here is a picture of 70-5519 power & amp integration, the one with the RCA's is what you are looking for. Here is a link to similar thread that explains some of the other problems with integrating factory amps & speakers.http://www.allfordmustangs.com/forum...tml#post932494

Sorry, I'm answering too many ?s at once. Metra 70-5510 is what you need. Circuit City should be able to provide it. Its all over online. Metra sells the 70-5510 for use with aftermarket stereos that have RCA outputs, and 70-5511 for stereos that don't have RCA outputs.

they said they were going to use this!!

Buy the Metra Ford Amplified System Interface and other Car in-dash vehicle wiring harnesses at circuitcity.com

is there no possible way to get this one to work...I don't believe they sell the metra 70-5511 or 5510

The link is not working at the moment but I think your referring to a Metra fdrra1 digital universal ford amp integration unit. The fdrra1 accomplishes the same thing as analog harness(70-5510), but it is harder to install and costs more $. It should work fine if it was installed correctly. They should have just used a 70-5510. They probably didn't carry them in stock but I'm positive they can get them. It is simple to install a 70-5510 and wire the tweeters & bass blockers directly to the new stereo. If they could not make your system work right you should have never been charged $80. IMO they need to fix the integration problem or return your $. If they can't fix it get your $ back, buy a 70-5510 and do it right yourself.

yeah I already got a call from them and they said that the adapter won't work...which is bullshit...because it will ...he told me that I need to buy all new speakers and what not...so I told him to undo EVERYthing that he did and just return my money..
