Hello all, I'm attempting to put an aftermarket radio in my 01 GT and have managed to find the install kit that will convert from a double DIN to single, unfortunately no one makes a wire harness for the Mach sound system. Does anyone have the wiring schematic for the radio and speakers? I found the Batt 12V and Ign 12V and several grounds, but locating the speakers may prove to be more than a challenge... Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Well after some digging, I found the wires for the rear two speakers and the tweeters, but still nothing on the rear subs or door speakers. Looks like I'll be bypassing those and rewiring those speakers.

Anyone know how the rear seat cushion comes out? I thought it was like all the others and lifted up, but I can't seem to get it to release...

Bottom cushion has two tabs about 9 inches from each end that you must press in on and then at the same time lift.

If you carefully insert a long screwdriver at under the seat cushion at the edge and carefully slide it toward the middle of the seat you will hit the tab.
Then slide the screwdriver out a little until you can keep sliding it toward the middle of the seat and you should be right on the button.
Push in and pull up the cushion.

Do the same for the other side...

This is really difficult to explain but it's a snap once you know how it works.

The seat back is bolted on.
You will see the bolts when you remove the bottom cushion.

BTW the Like the other guy said, the Mach is not the firendliest system to upgrade.
Neither are most of the stock high end systems though.

One of the rear amps powers the two door woofers and the other rear amp powers the rear deck woofers. ALL four tweeters are powered from up front. You can tap into the door woofers and rear deck woofer in the trunk @ the amps. As you know you are going to run into some issues. One issue is that the tweeters are powered seperatly from woofers and all the speakers are 6 ohms. You have two options, "integrate" the factory amps and wire the tweeters directly to aftermarket stereo with some bass blockers or install new speakers and wire them direct. I noticed I have plenty of highs <laughs> but no mid/bass. I was going to ask if on amp powered the doors and the other the rear, but you answered that for me. Do you have a wiring diagram for those amps? From the images provided by Gnats, I have the wiring for the Mach radio, but not the amp which goes to page 130-3, the cut off image just below the radio wiring image. I'm going to try using the factory amps, but I need the inputs for those amps, both power and audio. I'm hoping it's listed on that missing page. Thanks again!

Ok, I'm really not liking this very much. I know which wires are batt (+) and which are (-) for the amps, but of the remaining 3 little wires that go to the smaller connectors on the opposite sides of the amps, which ones are the audio and which is the remote turn on??

Just rip the Mach system out and go for some nice aftermarket amps and speakers... once i started playing around with the mach system after i changed my headunit i could never get it to sound right... Took me one week to decide to rip it out and go all aftermarket... If your investing in a headunit you might as well go for the rest..

I am looking to pull out the f'ing amps for the 460 in the back and put in a 4 channel clarion. damn factory POS

Can somone verify the colors for the output wires off the old amps ( both back and front ) .. I've looked throught he schematics and All I see are bl/wh and bl/lg .. I know that each amp is putting out a mono signal, so it makes sense to color everything as only 2 colors and run out to the left and right sides ..

But which color is + and which one is - is the big question I have???

I guess once I know that, I can chase down which ones run out to which side of the car with a continuity tester.

The best way to go about using the factory mach amps is to use the "amp integration harness". It hooks to the aftermarket steroes RCA outputs and plugs into the factory harness behind the stereo. The integration plug will send the signal to the amps. NOTE: the rear mach amps only output low frequencies and do not power the tweeters so you would have to wire them direct to the stereo with bass blockers. Not to mention the stock speakers are 6 ohms and low quality. These two issues cause the sound to be out of balance because the output between the woofers and tweeters will not be proportional when the factory amps are "integrated" with a aftermarket stereo. For this reason I recommend Mach owners ditch the entire system, stereo and speakers.
