Who has the Hardest hitting system in a 94-98 stang? Mine peaks at 153 db but i was just wondering if anyone has/knows anyone that can beat that. And what amps/subs are they useing?
What are you running? All I have is a couple of 6x9's. I find the stereo is way to heavy for my stang.

I have JL Evalution 5 by 9's 3 JL w3's running off of a 400 watt amp each a 200 watt amp pushing my front to mids and highs the 2 in the rear run off my deck getting all 200 watts. Stinger wire running all through the car. Dynamate everything from the trunk to the doors.
first i have 6 by 9s not 5 by 9s sorry my mistake. Yes i am half deaf but i was born like that so to me it isnt all that loud. But i can hear it just fine

Sounds like me. Damm genetics. Loosing about 7dB in the left ear per year

I have a hard time believing that. You only have 400 watts pushing 3 subs and you claim 153 db. I know people with 4 12" JL and 1000 watt amps that only push 140, and that is extremely loud. 153 db you make you deaf. Are your subs 10w3 or 12w3 and are they d2, d4, or d6. What amp do you have pushing your subs.
As for me I used to have 2 12" MTX pushed by a 425 watt MTX amp. That got about 130-132 db. Now I have one diamond 12" sub pushed by the 425 watt MTX amp, Boston Coustic 5 x 7's and tweeters all the around (4 of each).
And another thing how'd u get 6x9's to replace your old 5x7's? Was it hard to cut the metal so those speakers would fit? You said you have 6x9's then you claim you have an amp pushing your mids and highs. What kind of those do you have. I'm sorry, I'm just having a hard time believing this. Explain yourself more and if you can justify yourself I'll apolagise and give you the credit a 153 db system deserves.
my subs are d4 and i have a 400 watt amp on EACH one not just one 400 watt amp. Alot goes into the wiring to Dynamate helps alot by killing the vibrations, this doesnt add any but it gives back what you have lost. Also what kind of amps some amps are better then others Like sony of jensen are not rated at what they say since there is nothing that orders that amps have to produce what they say. As for myself i use JL Audio amps. Its late so if i missed anything else just ask anything that you have a question about and i will be happy to answer you.
I have 2 audiobahn ultra excursion 10's that hold 900 watts RMS apiece and that is coupled to kicker ZR1000 that hits pretty damn hard enough to make you see fuzzy when driving down the road, other than that just some old stock whatever in the doors which are going to be replaced. anyone know what size goes in there I read 6x8

When I started I used to have two fosgate 12", two fosgate 8" MTX mids (four of them) and kicker tweets (four of those). pushing them was three amps a Sony (for the mids and tweets) and two fosgates for the subs. I used a sony (when there were good) head unit in to fosgate EQ then followed up with a sony crossover network then into the amps.
Now I down to a alpine deck and some kenwood 6X9. I'd run an amp for the 6X9's but I trying to keep the wiegh of the Mustang under 2750lbs. In the Capri I'm running an Alp. deck w/changer, coustic speakers, coustic six chanel amp and a single Alp 8" type S sub.

10" or 12"? What kind of high's, mid's? What amps do you have (exact name)? What kind of wiring? crossovers? EQ's? What all do you have dynomatted (trunk, doors, trunk lid, etc)? Since you have that nice of a system you should be able to explain a little more about it.
12 jl w3's my mids nad highs are JL evalution mids and highes with there v4 compontent system. All my amps are Planent audio i have a 400 watt amp on EACh of my subs and a 200 watt amp on my mids and highs. as for the dynamat i have all my trunk, doors, behind my console. I have built in crossovers in my amp. The only wire i run is stinger. my striker is stinger as well. I did do a db test on it again and it peeked out at 151
You say you have 400 watts to each speaker! Your speakers recomend 250. If you check out the Power Range specs of the subs, 400 watts would distort the sound and blow the subs. Also your subs produce 87db a piece, so three would likely make around 130-140. Don't beleive me, check this page: JL Audio
Earlier you say you have 6x9's then you say you have v4 component speakers. Well the only 6x9 v series speakers are these. JL #2
These are 2 way speakers and not components. Your info confuses me and I'm gonna have to call BS. The ony way I'll believe you is if you post pics of your set-up and printouts showing you hit 151db.

Just cause an amp will make 400watts does not mean that 400 watts will make it to you speaker. I'll give you an example the Alpine MRD-m500 amp will make 500 watts no problem at 1ohm. With a 4ohm speaker it will only make about 200watts of power. Car audio amps are based on delivering current to a speaker not voltage. That's why car audio speakers are 4ohms and lower. You'll get beter sound out of a system with 8ohms and higher(like home audio). This is why I can use a 900watt car amp with 150watt 8ohm speaker. There is not enough voltage in the amp to make 150watts. It's simple math: power=voltage X current
