I have a 2002 GT that when listening to books on CD, stops playing once it reaches track 17, I might get a couple of minutes of track 17, but then it stops. I can advance through the next tracks but there is no sound, and no clock counting. I have tried them in another player, and they work so the problem is with my Mustang. Help. I am going on a 15 hour trip with it and the books help pass the time.

Try one of those lens cleaning cds. A lot of people have had similar issues with their Mach 6 disc players only playing the first half of the disc and then skipping on the later tracks, cleaning the lens usually fixes the problem.
