Default installing subwoofer in 2000 Mustang convertible

I have a question on the installation of 2 12's in a vert

how do I run the wires through the trunk...do the seats come out...

I know the seats don't go down like in normal cars/coupes

so how would I go about wiring the car from the trunk to the headunit?

Usually you would run the power wires down the left side of the car under the carpet (its easier because the battery is on that side), than you run the rca's under the carpet on the right side of the car under the carpet. You want them on oposite sides because the power lines can cause interferance in your audio signals if they would be running next to your rcas. Usually you can just run them up the side of the seats and just slip them through the little crack in the side into the trunk.

Try this....
Under the back cushion, in the middle, is a plastic tab. Lift up the seat bottom and try to "peek" under there, and you will see it. Take a screwdriver (flathead) and push inward (towards the trunk). This will release the seat, which is held by just that single post, pertruding from the seat bottom. Lift up on the cushion and pull, should come right off.

woahh don't go pulling up the carpet!! what we do at the shop is simply hide the wires under the large plastic trim by the door, on the left side of the driver. thats where the power wire goes.

then on the opposite side, you are going to hide the remote turn on wire and the RCA wires.

Good Advice, I might be trying the same thing this weekend on my 02 vert. I installed a new head unit yesterday and I have an Alpine 10" that came all put together w/amp and box. It sounds great and I have had it through about 5 diffrent cars, and now it is going in here.
