Default Classic 1966 Mustang aftermarket stereo advice

I have a 1966 Mustang with a working original AM radio. My hubby and I are in a disagreement on how to bring this situation into more modern times. He wants to get one of these Classic Mustang Parts On Line Catalog - Product Description: 66-76 REPLICA OF 66 OEM MUSTANG AM//FM RADIO and I just want to get a stereo I can play my ipod through and stick it in the glove compartment.
How did you maintain your cars original am radio and upgrade your system?

I got the stereo in your link. Looks just like the original with modern guts. I have the iPod cable running through the back of the ashtray and it works great. There aren't many options if you want ti keep the original look and still have some modern features. The only drawback is the price of the USA-66 unit.

Default I am trying to avoid Custom Autosound units

Because of all the negative comments I have seen on different forums, I am tring to avoid Custom Autosound units.

I am looking at Retrosound, but have not seen any feedback on them.

I believe the one you posted is a custom audio sound one and there hit and miss sometimes they break easy or just sound like crap.Id give the one cobra6 posted a try or mount a din size under the dash or glove box.
