Default Rear Deck Speakers, 2008 Mustang GT

Any benefit from dropping in better aftermarket speakers in the rear deck? Any negatives. Its for a 2008 gt with the shaker 500 stereo.
thanks-shane

First I replaced the radio to get something better than the Skipper 500. Next, I replaced my rear deck speakers in my 2006 GT and it was OK. Last weekend I replaced my door speakers and was completely blown away by the difference in sound that made! If I had to do it all over again, the door 6x8 speakers would have been the first to go. The only thing that I left stock from the Shaker 500 was the door subwoofers.

Truth be told, I expected better from the factory Mach Plates that were in the doors, but they were no match for the sound quality produced by the Infinity 682.7CF speakers that replaced them! Oddly, several installers told me those speakers (the Infinity 6x8s) wouldn't fit in the Mustang doors, so that is why I waited to install them. All I had to do was bend a couple of mounting tabs on the speakers to get them installed. Took all of 30 seconds to figure out what was needed to be done!
