2002 Mustang getting a cd error, Plz Help!

i have the mach 460 in my 02 gt and lately it wont play a cd eject or load the screen says cd error anybody have any idea??? i have disconected my battery cables for a good amount of time and yet no reset to my radio any helpwould be great

Time to upgrade to a new deck. Both of my stangs have aftermarket decks because the 2 stock ones gave out on me and I'm not the only one either, I know a couple of friends who's deck too a dump on them too and went with aftermarket and no problems since. You can pick one up for pretty cheap. Good luck

i agree, maybe its time to upgrade to an aftermarket unit, but till then, try using a lens cleaning disk, u can pick them up at any wal-mart in the electronics section. good luck!

It's not going to be worth fixing, since it won't even eject a cd, sounds like there is a mechanical issue with the cd drive.
Time for a new one.
