 1998 mustang p1260 code
I was hoping someone with some alarm system knoweledge could help me out. I picked up my car used from a dealer a few years back. I got two keys with the car (one ford and the other generic) and two remotes for the car alarm.. both keys work but neither of the remotes did. I picked up a stock remote and programmed it in the stock manner using the jumpers on the alarm box. So I know I have a stock alarm system but noticed the wires are hacked up... oh boy. Now I'm noticing my theft light flashing usually every other time I drive the car. Now I found I'm throwing a p1260 code .. P1260 Theft Detection - Engine Disabled. Well my engine isn't disabling but between the light and the code I'm beggining to worry. Any advice or direction would be appreciated.. Thanx |
