Default Mustang Audio Sub box and box location question

who makes custom sub boxes?

what placement is the best for the best sound and least rattle


I get so much rattle from my subs, and all i hear is my trunk and **** rattling in the car.....

Mustangs are def not meant for audio.....

The best positioning is having the subs facing directly towards you or directly away from you (subs produce an equal amount of sound waves in opposite directions--perpendicular to the cone). So basically, face the subs towards you or away from you (the driver). The worst is to have them facing up and down. I have mine on each side of the trunk facing the opposite front corner. So the rear right sub faces the driver, the rear left sub faces the passenger. The rattle can be helped by

1-get some sound deadening material and put it on your trunk lid.
2-put rubber, stick-on nubs behind your license plate.

the mtx thunderform has custom fit boxes that sound good and fit beautifuly i jus put the custom box 4500 in my 05stang
