Question Anyone installed the Crutchfield single-DIN conversion kit for S197?

I have all the stuff ready to go, but some of the reviews for the kit said it didn't fit quite right. It claims to have a "recessed" fit, which in some instances leaves gaps around the stereo. The kit is originally for an F-150, but Crutchfield claims it's the one to use for any new Ford application. I was just curious if anyone else had tried the same kit yet, and if you had any problems with gaps?

BTW, this is the double-Din to single-Din conversion that gives you a storage pocket.

Thanks!

yes it will fit. crutchfield uses metra kits and they fit fine. the mustang and f150 use the same mounts for the radio, so yes it will fit. i can say the metra kit is better than the scosche one. we used to carry the scosche kit at my work and the dumb pocket always fell off into the dash. it should be fine in your dash. use the mounting brackets that screw into the side of the radio and the trim ring that comes with the kit...if you use that, the install will look flush and good.
