Default Shaker 6 CD Changer Problem

Just bought an 07 Mustang convertible, the only problem with the otherwise awesome car is that the Shaker 6 CD changer does not work. The radio works and it plays my MP3 unit through the aux input but it will not load CDs. When attempting to load a CD it mkes the appropriate noises then the panel says ‘initialisation’ and switches itself off after a few seconds.

I think the unit has been disconnected (battery disconnected) in transit from the States therefore the head unit needs reprogramming.
This is an assumption, can anyone confirm or advise me on this issue? If it does need reprogramming can a UK Ford dealership do it or are there specialists that can help?

Any words of wisdom greatly appreciated guys.

Arrow CD prob

Not sure about what the prob is but have not heard of a cd/radio needing reprogramming. The Ford dealer should be able to help and would take it there if still under warranty. If not under warranty, a custom car audio shop would be best in my opinion..

I'm having the same problem with my 2008 Mustang GT Premium and the Shaker 1000 6-disc CD Player. Started after the battery died.
