Default Having trouble w/ new stereo in 1992 5.0= extra wires

Got a new JVC stereo for the 5.0 iPod compatible, the wiring harness that came with it only had 12 wires. There are 15 on the Mustang. Of course, first thing I did was cut the old connectors off. It's grounded to the chassis, the speakers are connected, the lights work on it, but no sound, and there's the extra wires I don't know what to do with. Anyone know how to fix this latest problem?

'til next time- I mess something up...

You have a factory amp back there and that must be bypassed for it to work. Most stereo shops has the electrical connectors to make this a plug in, other wise it's a ton of splicing and it'd be better to get the connector. An aftermarket radio won't work unless you do that.

Anybody have a Metra or Scosche part number for the amp bypass cable?
