Default Subwoofers for a 07 GT

In my previous car I had two 12 inch Infinity subs with a 400 watt Infinity amp to go with it. Would this be a good idea getting these put in the trunk of the Mustang? It does not have any of the Shaker subs in it already.

Thanks for any help.

Default probably the best sub option out there for 05+

Had a ported 2x10 box that took up the whole trunk. Just installed JL's prefab semi-custom enlosure. It's one 13" sub in sealed box that fits in the passenger side corner of the trunk in the spot that the 1000 factory box would go. Fits perfectly, easy to install, whether you have the 500 or 1000 originally. Looks & sounds better than the 2x10" subs, and you get almost the whole trunk back....

2 12" subs are do able in our vehicles, but if I had to give one complaint about the S197 Mustang, it would be that the trunk opening is small in relation to the size of the trunk! Currently I have the single Kicker 12" Solobaric L5 ported enclosure in my trunk and it is coming out as soon as I figure out what I am going to replace it with. Don't get me wrong, it sounds great, but I had to remove the trunk plastic, trunk latch, and spare just to get it in there! Sadly, the spare is in my storage shed right now.

I am thinking about purchasing the JL Audio Stealthbox for my Mustang! Sadly, that was my first choice and I ended up going against my own advice... Buy cheap, buy twice!

Default stealthbox

I was a little afraid I was gonna lose some sound going from 2 ported 10"s to the single stealth box. To my pleasant surprise, the 13"W6 thumps harder and deeper, and fits like a glove. I will never go back to boxes again - as long as a closed stealthbox is available for my car.
Highly Recommended...

Default 15"

i fit one 15" cvr in a single ported box, had to take out the spare but at only 450 rms watts it slams, the 12 speakers i got for mids and highs up front are def needed to here past the bass though.

I actually ordered a stealthbox last week for my 2006 GT. Just my luck it is back ordered and will take anywhere from two to six weeks to come in!

I replaced all my factory 6x8 speakers with Infinity Kappa 682.7CF and they do not get anything below 80 Hz. Right now they are all getting 100 watts RMS and they SCREAM.

Of course, if you want to spend more money, you can always try components, but then you will be stuck trying to figure out where to put the tweeters.

Default components in doors

Some of the components out there now give you the option of placing the tweeter in the the center of the driver, so that may be an option...
