My wife has an 08 V6 with the standard radio and would like to have Sirius sat radio. Would I be able to change to the Shaker 500 radio without too many problems? I see the Shaker 500 radios for sale pretty cheap from time to time.

it'll swap but you'll have fun doing it ( theres alot to it ) your better off just going with an aftermarket head unit .....you can pick up a good panasonic/ clarion deck for around 100 to 150 bucks and will have the sirius hookup

I believe the 08's are the first year the sirius was offered. Agree with the above poster, you would be better off getting a aftermarket radio. The shakers have two speakers in the doors as opposed to the stock one. One is a woofer which uses a different door panel that has a baffle in it. The amps for the woofers are also located in the doors.
You could just upgrade the radio along with the current speakers in the doors and rear deck which are chinese made junk anyway.
