Default 1995 Mustang Gt Double Din Kit?

Is there somekind of conversion kit out there to make it possible to put a double din reciver in the dash, or do i need to just custom do it with fiberglass.

The only problem w/ going w/ a double din radio is the actual radio mounts on a '94. I belive they are held in by side clips, and the dash kit for a '01-04(double din) is held in by two screws. It shouldnt be too hard, but you might just have to fabricate a mount for it. I would have to see bedind the dash in the 94 to be certain.

i have a 95 gt as well. What I did was take the a/c controls and move them all the way down to the bottom in that pocket. then u have plenty of room up top for a double din. Its a bit of a PIA since you have to narrow the a/c vent behind the dash in order to clear the depth of the radio up there, but in the end it looks sick having it up high instead of down behind the shifter.

Im still in afghanistan, been here almost a year, so its been a while since ive looked at the car, but how did you narrow out the vents, and what did you do to the dash pannel so it doesnt look at chewed up and **** when you cut out the divider inbetween the existing radio and ac controls?

like i said it takes alot of custom work.. when you cut out the divider, what i did was take the trim ring that comes with the radio you buy, and i glassed it in then repainted the whole piece. as far as the rear clearance issue, you have to get nasty, cut the vent in back and essentially take out about a half inch of depth, then take a piece of abs and glass it in as well. email me and ill send you pics. but it is a huge pain, but totally worth it.
