Default kenwood kac-9104d....Wiring

Okay I just bought a kenwood kac-9104d amp and it is rated at 500w x 1 at 4ohm rms and 900w x 1 at 2ohm rms. It has 2 speaker terminals used for easy parrallel subwoofer connection, but I am only connecting 1 12" kicker l7 to it. The amp says it will go down to 1 ohms but i dont believe that so no lower then 2 ohms. I would like to know if i should buy a 2ohm dvc or a 4ohm dvc kicker and also how would i wire the sub to the amp?

Thanks for your time.

Heres a link to the amp: http://www.kenwoodusa.com/Car_Entert...iers/KAC-9104D

Get the dual 4ohm DVC Kicker. 900 watts of power is plenty for that speaker. If you take that amp down to 1ohm, it would be like running your engine at 6500 RPM ALL of the time. It might handle it, but not for long. If you absolutely have to have more power to that sub (which you won't) get a bigger amp but that amp with a dual 4ohm L7 will pound just fine. Just make sure the box is built to Kicker specs and get a good strong signal to the amp. Oh yeah, wire each voice coil to each terminal on the amp and you will have 2 ohm. Positive to positive, negative to negative.
