Default Mach 460 Problems

I have a 94 GT and the radio and CD palyer work and light up but no sound. But if i leave the radio off for a number of days it will work for a couple of hours but the pop a couple times and cut off again. I wont to stay with the Mach cause it is factory and looks nice. I also own the the shop manual and wiring diagram books if anyone ever needs and info for any 94-95. Help in this matter would be great.

Sounds like the radios going out on you. If you have your heart set on a factory unit, I checked out ebay and they have one listed for $9.99 and $16.00 for shipping.

on ebay, theres companies that fix the sound problem. I know how you feel about keeping the stock radio but after 3 radio sounds went out, may want to consider changing to aftermarket. Just an idea.

Have you considered relocating an after market unit somewhere else in the car. I know space is tight but you could have the look of a stock unit but have the fuctionality of a new stereo.
