Default 1995 Mustang, Cigarette Lighter is out?

Hey all,

I have a 95 mustang, and both my Cig lighters are not working. does anyone know why this can be? I am going to attempt to change the fuses tomorrow mourning. i dont have a manual but im usein this thing from google. Is there any other reason they wouldnt work? it used to until i pluged in my ipod charger one day and it just stoped.

Sounds like you have the right idea. It's either a fuse (could even be a fuseable link) or a bad connection.

They look like a section of wire and they are labeled "fusable link"
They usually will only fry if there is a direct short. They work faster than a fuse or circuit breaker. Your manual should show the location of these along with the fuses and circuit breakers and what they protect.
