Default 1987 Mustang GT radio question

I just popped the aftermarket radio out of my 87 GT and there is this thick braided cable with a screw "loop" just hanging out behind there. Anybody know what thats for and where i should reattach it to? thanks

Most likely the ground wire that was attached to the bolt on the back of the radio.
