Default 2007 GT stereo problem

Went for a drive last week, the sun sets in the horizon, I turn on the lights, everything looks good, but the stereo doesn't illuminate. The Lcd which shows the selected channel lights up, but none of the other stereo-related buttons/knobs. Channel seek, tune, am/fm, whatever, nothing. Is this the norm, are the Mustang stereos not supposed to illuminate at night? Its the 500 shaker, I'm putting in the Nav in the spring. I have nav in my truck, I love it!

Thank in advance!

Mike.

I tried a few different search options, think I got enough info for the dealer to work on, fingers crossed!
