Question new guy with factory alarm problem...

hi, ive used this site plenty of times for good info, but need some specific info now...i put my 98 GT in the shop at the ford dealer about 4 years ago for a busted door lock, while in the shop(under their supervision), my car was broken into and many things were stolen, someone obviously took their time and knew what they were doing because they even stole engine components... they did something to the alarm but i have no idea what... my keyless remote still works, but i cannot hit the lock botton on the keypad or door panels, basically i cant lock it electrically or the alarm will go off about 5 mins later, i am finally fed up and want this fixed, i have examined both fuse boxes and everything seems ok, i cannot find the alarm box, i read somewhere that the alarm box is near the driverside feet area, the only thing i see on the right side is an empty plug...can anyone offer any insight?
it would be much appreciated, thanks

Welcome to the site.
Have you tried following the wiring from your alarm horn to the alarm box?
