Audiobahn and Rockford Fosgate are my favorite car audio brands. In my 1990 convertible I run an Audiobahn A2300HCT 2-channel amp (300 watts per channel at 4ohms) and a pair of 10" Rockford Fosgate P1S410 subs (300 watts @ 4ohms each). As far as I'm concerned, it's perfect.

All it means is to get a subwoofer box that will point your subs straight down at the floor instead of pointing at your back seats or the trunk lid. It's good advice if you don't have your trunk insulated with an aftermarket sound proofing material like Dynamat. I pulled all of the carpeting and trim out of my trunk and lined the metal panels with sheets of Dynamat before installing my subs. No matter what kind of box you get, I FULLY recommend that you insulate the trunk because it improves the bass quality beyond belief.
