And I was wondering if a JL Audio HD750/1 Class D
HD Monoblock Subwoofer Car Amplifier would work well with it??

I haven't tried this exact box, but I've had a similar one made by MTX and loved it. It sounded great and I'd imagine that the JL sub would sound great too. It's a solid and cost-effective option to having a custom box fabricated by an audio shop.

Doesn't the stealth box come with a 13W6? I'm pretty sure it does. If that's the case, I'd power it with a 500/1. I'm pretty sure that's the optimum power level for it. I had a 10W7 powered by a 500/1 and it was great. You'll never regret going with JL. If you don't mind paying for their quality, you will definitely be satisfied with your purchase.

I have the Stealthbox and it comes with the 13w6v2. Just be warned though if you continue to utilize your stock Shaker 500 door subwoofers... They are phased weird and will cause cancellation issues with your trunk sub!

Here are my build photos from the original mockup...

Unfortunately, my setup is totally different now and about to change again

ETA: I am getting ready to pull the Shaker 500 subs and replace them with some Mach5 Audio MLI-65s after building the appropriate baffles. I am also going to use some Alpine tweeters in the 6x8 door location and take my system 3 way active

ETA2: The Stealthbox was my THIRD subwoofer in this Mustang. Prior to it I had a pair of JL Audio 10w3v2s each in .75 cubic foot sealed and I didn't like them. Next I had a 12" Solobaric L5, and while it was loud, it didn't sound very "musical". The Stealthbox, while not as loud as the L5, sounds WAY better and plays way deeper than the L5 and the 10w3v2s did!

Do you think the stealthbox is loud enough for a convertible? Or should I try looking at something else?

I was planning on pushing the sub with a JL Audio HD 750/1 amplifier.

Actually, if I were to do it over again, I would probably build my own fiberglass enclosures and put a 12" Image Dynamics IDMAX12 on each side of the trunk. I was totally amazed at how great ONE 12" IDMAX sub sounded in a friend's vehicle and two should be double the fun

Crutchfield accidentally shipped me the convertible box the first go round and it didn't seem to play as deep as the one that I have now. I am giving my Stealthbox 600 watts RMS and it gets plenty loud with with the windows up or down

loud is a VERY relative term. now that hd 750 with the 13w6v2 will sound amazing and get fairly loud. unless youre used to pretty loud subs, itll be plenty for daily listening. on the other hand, one 1 idmax12 in a ported box run off that hd750 would be louder and sound even better, but then you take away the simplicity of the stealth box. either setup would be great though.

I have since changed my setup around. I put a Lunar L450 on my front speakers and a Clarion DPX1851 on my Stealthbox.

I am going to fix those hanging wires after I finish my front speakers because I need to unmount the amp the mess with the gains. I've flip flopped so much on what to replace the Shaker 500 8s with, but I think I am finally going to stick with my original plan, the Mach5 Audio MLI-65.

Default JL Audio 2005+ 13W6 Stealthbox

The JL Audio Stealthbox for the 2005+ Mustang is equisitely musical.
Deep, very clean low frequency response when powered by a good quality amplifier, such as the JL Audio 500/1 V2 Subwoofer amplifier.
This Stealthbox is a must for anyone requiring extra real estate for a trunk mounted Nitrous bottle/system application.
Going all out with a quality headunit outputting 5v pre outs would really compliment this setup and truly pleasure your addiction to BASS and your hearing senses to SONIC NIRVANA
