Default Mach problem- cds will not eject and more

Two days ago my 6 disc changer has started misbehaving.
2002 ford mustang GT. I have the mach 1000 I believe with the 6 disc changer. Well, none of the discs will eject. When I try it just says "error" after about 5 seconds. Also it is no longer making any mechanical noises as it attempts to eject the cd. I have one slot open, and it won't load a disc either. Only the radio works now.
Also, when you turn the vehicle on it takes about 20 seconds for the radio to power back up....no clock, no noises, just a dead radio for about 20 seconds from when you turn the key. It also has never done this before. Anyone have an idea? Is the radio just dead or is there somthing I could try to jolt it back to life?

i see this alot with the ford 6disc changers. when i see it, people are bringing it to my shop to replace the radio. there is something that can be done. do you have any cds in there that had the stick on labels? those always jam up cd players. ive taken a couple of them apart and pulled the cds out and the unit worked fine afterwards. i just had to realign the cd trays and it fixed it.

not sure if itll work for you, but if you're good at taking things apart then you can give it a try. but be prepared to replace the radio as most of them ive seen are just plain shot and are dead.
