Default Will a non mach 460 Cd player work with Mach 460?

Hey, I have a 1996 Mustang GT with the Mach 460 sound system, and I'm replacing all of the speakers with factory replacements since they were blown.

My CD player also died, and I replaced it with a non mach 460 cd player from a 2000 v6 mustang. It fits in perfectly, and I didn't have to do any modifications. I have no speakers in my car, waiting 4-6 weeks for shipping. I am wondering if the CD player is pretty much the same as the Mach 460 one or if the amps/watts are different and resulting in poor sound quality.

It'll work just fine. As long as the wiring harness fits the CD player, you're good to go.
