Default 2006 Mustang Stereo Removal

This has probably been covered hundreds of times, but...
I bought a FRD04-AUX adapter module so that I can use the AUX button on the stereo. It plugs into the 16-pin CAN connector on the back of the stereo. What is the easiest way to access this? Can it be done without removing the stereo, or does the stereo have to come out? If so, how do you remove the stereo?

Thanks for any help!

Here you go. You may be able to get at it by removing the center console and one of the side panels (4) but it's going to be tight.
I replaced my entire unit.

Thanks, that looks like exactly what I need. Here is a link for where to buy the adapter: PIE frd03-aux/s Ford 2003-2005 Auxiliary Input Adapters sat button. I am planning to use it with an XM reciever, but it will allow for any auxilary input. It has RCA jacks.

We had threads a while back about these. When they first came out there were bugs in it.

I saw that on an F150 forum. Do you know if they have worked the bugs out, or if there are any alternative products that allow use of the AUX button?

I believe the bugs had been worked out. Your only alternative would be a transmitter such as triptunes but the quality of your music would suffer.
